Physics - Mechanics: Projectiles & Circular Motion (Form V & VI)
Muhtasari / Summary: Projectile motion, range, centripetal force, and circular motion.
✓
A projectile moves under gravity alone. Horizontal: x = ucosθ·t (constant velocity). Vertical: y = usinθ·t − ½gt². Range R = u²sin2θ / g. Maximum height H = u²sin²θ / 2g. Circular motion requires centripetal force F = mv²/r directed toward the centre. Centripetal acceleration a = v²/r = ω²r. Angular velocity ω = 2πf. For orbits: gravitational force provides centripetal force: GMm/r² = mv²/r.
